In 2011 the Office of the Bursar saw a growing need for financial literacy education. To respond to that need, a Student Peer Educator was hired to bring financial literacy to various student organizations and residence halls. Since then, much work has been done, many events and presentations given, and this very site was created.
MU Money Matters strives to serve the students of Marquette University by informing them about the importance of personal finance and the impact it has on their lives and future goals. In keeping with Marquette University’s value of “cura personalis” we aim to care for the whole person by creating essential lifelong habits and skills that can be applied to life as a Marquette student and beyond.
