Camina Conmigo - walk with me. This retreat celebrates and explores Latine spiritualities and identities while building community between students of all faiths and backgrounds.

What is Camina Conmigo?

Open to all students, both undergraduate and graduate, of the Marquette Community who are Latine, love Latine cultures, or would like to learn more about Latine communities and spiritualities, Camina Conmigo - walk with me - is a retreat that celebrates and explores Latine spiritualities and identities while building community between students of all faiths and backgrounds.

This retreat will give you the opportunity to:

  • Immerse yourself in Latine culture
  • Discover some of the spiritualities that have developed in Latine cultures
  • Enjoy delicious Latine food
  • Make new friends
  • Pray in English, Spanish, or the language that is close to your heart

Cost

$10, which covers transportation, food and lodging. Financial assistance is readily available; see the Retreat FAQ page for more information. 

Location

St. Iakovos Retreat Center, Kansasville, WI

St. Iakovos Retreat Center is about 40 minutes south of Marquette. It includes a gathering room, chapel, full kitchen, and dorm style bedrooms, on a property that includes a pond and trails.

Schedule

  • Friday, April 4, 5:00 p.m.: Meet at Campus Ministry (AMU 236)
  • Saturday, April 5, 6:30 p.m.: Retreat ends, depart for Marquette
  • Sunday, April 5, 7:30 p.m.: Back at Marquette
