Events Checklist

1) Secure your space

Marquette Faculty & Staff: Follow instructions on this page to secure a space for your event via 25Live or Outlook
Student orgs: See this page or work via your faculty/staff advisor
External users: Outside organizations wishing to use our space for meetings or events, please email Kelly McDonald: k.mcdonald@marquette.edu for approval and reservations.

2) Catering needed?

All event organizers are expected to work directly with MU Catering Services to place their catering order.  Catering services requires orders to be placed 10 business days before the event to be guaranteed.  Outside organizations are also able to contract their catering needs individually.  Catering menu

3) Audiovisual & tech needs

Questions about A/V and technical capabilities may be directed to joseph.stathus@marquette.edu  Due to staffing limitations at this time, we are not able to provide "live" tech support for your event.  Please work with staff to be sure you understand the tech & AV operations beforehand.
Events requiring more than one microphone, telepresence, recording, or any advanced audiovisual needs will need to hire the services of an outside company to provide, setup and run this equipment. Marquette recommends our preferred event production vendor, GoAudio, they are familiar with our facilities and capabilities.

4) Publicizing and promoting your event

Internal users organizing events that are available to the Marquette community should fill out this form (MU login required) which will accomplish the following in one step:

  1. Your event will be added to our internal calendar available to faculty and staff
  2. Your event will be marketed to students in a weekly email from the Business Career Center as appropriate
  3. Your event will be displayed on our list of events in O'Brien Hall (if held in our building) behind the welcome desk
  4. If your event is open to the public, you can reach out to andrew.goldstein@marquette.edu to discuss social media posts or further marketing options.

5) Parking

Parking information - event attendees are expected to pay the $10 daily parking fee in our adjacent parking structure. If event organizers wish to cover the cost of parking, please work directly with parking services staff via contacts listed on this page.
