Sponsored by the Diederich College and and Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI), this 1100 square foot space is physically located in the Johnston Hall but is accessible to people outside of the college and Marquette. The Ai4Ai is equipped with cutting-edge software and hardware for data science, analytics, and visualization.
Black Box Studio
Located in the lower level of Johnston Hall, this space is available for students looking to create spaces they can use for films and cinematography. As the name implies, it is a blank space for you to write your own story.
Our student-run television station broadcasts to the Marquette University campus via closed circuit channel 99. Programming includes sports and entertainment shows, nightly newscasts and broadcasts of selected men's and women's home basketball and volleyball games on both channel 99 and the web. Work with state-of-the-art facilities and gain practical experience in all aspects of television production management, reporting, audio-visual techniques, sales, promotion and public relations.
jPad Lounge
Located on the first floor of Johnston Hall, our student lounge features comfortable furniture, vending machines and plenty of space for you to relax or work between classes. The room is accessible by scanning your MUID any time the building is open.
The MIC Speakers Lab is one of the Diederich College’s signature initiatives. Located in Johnston Hall 504 the MIC is open to all students, faculty or staff at Marquette, working with groups or individuals every step of the way.
Our student-run radio station broadcasts on campus via cable channel 96 and to the world through the live stream on the MUR website. Open to all Marquette University students, MUR offers eclectic programming including talk, sports, news and music shows. Students from all fields are invited to practice their skills in production, announcing, public relations, advertising sales and record company relations.

The Wakerly Media Lab for Creativity & Innovation, located in Johnston Hall 020, is an active space for students to work on design and creative media projects outside of the classroom. The lab is staffed by students who have experience across the entire range of Adobe Creative Cloud software.
