Community- and corporate-engaged research partnership development grants support faculty members in pursuing new and innovative partnerships to advance substantive research outcomes. Past recipients include:
- 2020-2021 - Dr. Ed de St. Aubin received a $5,000 grant to partner with Sharon McMurray of Table of the Saints to address personal redemption and collective well-being in the creation and implementation of a reentry curriculum.
- 2019-2020 – Dr. Dora Clayton Jones received a $5,000 grant to partner with Ervin and Melva Henderson of the World Outreach Center, to develop a faith-based curriculum to support individuals with sickle cell disease.
- 2018-2019 – Dr. Jenya Iuzzini-Seigel received a $5,000 grant to partner with Dr. Felicia Saffold at Next Door, Milwaukee, to investigate pattern learning ability and its effect on communication, fine/gross motor and pre-literacy skills in preschool-age children in poverty who attend Head Start programming.
- 2018-2019 – Dr. Stacy Barnes received a $5,000 grant to partner with St. Camillus, to jointly conduct a needs assessment to gather data about residents and employees at St. Camillus.
- 2017-2018 - Dr. Aleksandra Snowden received a $5,000 grant to partner with Dr. Katherine Wilson, executive director, of the Frank Zeidler Center for Public Discussion, to examine interpersonal violence from a public health perspective in Milwaukee's most violent neighborhoods.
- 2017-2018 - Dr. Louise Cainkar received a $5,000 grant to partner with Janaan Najeed, president of the Milwaukee Muslim Women's Coalition, to locate experienced civil society organizations and learn from them best practices in community outreach and civil rights education, in school bullying intervention, and in developing an accessible, multilingual online/hotline hate monitoring mechanism.

- Courtney Guc, MAS Inaugural Volunteer of the Year
- She began volunteering with the Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) her freshman year through the Burke Scholars program. Throughout her four years, she devoted time to MAS students as a literacy tutor and a lunch aide.
