Please allow 2-4 weeks from the point of receipt of all required materials for processing of the DS-2019.

J-1 Student Intern visa status can be granted for this experience and a Form DS-2019 will be issued by the Office of International Education (OIE) for eligible students to apply for the J-1 visa.

Faculty who plan to host a J-1 Exchange Visitor take on significant responsibilities to 1) gather, evaluate, and provide OIE the materials OIE needs to issue the supporting documentation for the EV's visa application process, 2) to supervise the EV's professional and cross-cultural/educational experience at Marquette, and 3) to serve as the primary support for the EV for day to day issues.
