Apply to the Nurse-Midwifery Program
Both the Graduate Bulletin and the College of Nursing Graduate Student Handbook provide important information when considering the NMP and when students are progressing from admission through graduation. It is critical to review the application requirements closely because they differ based on the applicant’s degree status.
Applying to the Master of Science Nurse-Midwifery Program
Individuals who have B.S.N. degrees and are entering the M.S.N. Program can find their application on the Graduate School website. Applications are generally due by Nov. 15 for spring admission, and Feb. 15 for summer or fall admission. Although there are two admission pools annually, most B.S.N. entry students should consider the Feb. 15 application deadline for summer or fall admission.
Applying to the Post-Master's Nurse-Midwifery Program
Applicants who do not hold a nursing degree but have completed bachelor’s degrees in other fields apply to the Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) Direct Entry Program. Prospective students need to complete the application for the master of science in nursing program for non-nursing graduates via the Graduate School website.
Following completion of the Direct Entry Program, graduates can immediately apply (complete a brief application) for entry to the Post-Masters Nurse-Midwifery Program. Post-Master’s students can apply by Nov. 15 for Spring admission and may take a part time program of study or may apply for fall admission.
