September 2020—Students, researchers, artists, and members of the nonprofit community who are seeking funding will find authoritative information on Wisconsin grant-making philanthropies in the new 2020 Foundations in Wisconsin. The directory, published annually in print and online, provides up-to-date information on the growing field of Wisconsin-based private, corporate, and community grantors. This past year, not only did the number of active foundations rise by 39 to 1252, but total grants hit an all-time high of $811 million.
Raynor Memorial Libraries’ Funding Information Center, which produces the directory each year, also offers an on-site collection of materials focused on private foundations, philanthropy, fundraising, grantsmanship, and related topics. The center is one of over 470 partners in Candid's Funding Information Network, and has been a partner for almost fifty years.
For Marquette grant seekers, Foundations in Wisconsin is available free of charge as a searchable online directory. To learn more information about the directory or the Funding Information Center, see the center’s website, or contact Mary Frenn, (414) 288-1995.
