Arrrangement: Administrative subject files are arranged alphabetically. Reports are arranged chronologically.

Restrictions: Access to records in series 1.1 and 3.1 is permanently restricted to authorized Office of the Registrar staff. Otherwise, access to these records is unrestricted. However, the researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of these records. Consult an archivist for further information.

 

Series 1 Administrative Subject Files, 1925-ongoing.
Series 1.1 Administrative Subject Files, 1928-ongoing. [Restricted: Inventory in Archives]
Series 2 Enrollment Statistics, 1881-ongoing.
This series consists of a report titled "Headcount Enrollment Statistics." Produced three times annually (fall, spring, and summer), these reports provide statistical breakdowns of student enrollments by academic unit, semester, and gender. After the Civil Rights Act of 1964, statistics for race and ethnicity become part of the data set.  
Series 2.1 Enrollment Statistics, 1881-ongoing [Restricted: Inventory in Archives]  Individual course and section information and contains individual identifying information for instructors.   
Series 3 Letter Grades Assigned, 1959-ongoing.
This series consists of a report titled "A Study of Final Grades Assigned in Undergraduate and Professional Courses at the End of the First Semester." The Registrar prepares and distributes the report on an annual basis.
Series 3.1 Letter Grades Assigned, 1949-ongoing. [Restricted: Inventory in Archives]
This series consists of reports showing instructor grade summaries arranged by course and section.
Series 4 Religious and Geographic Distributions, 1922-1997.
This series consists of enrollment statistics showing the religious backgrounds and geographic distribution of enrolled students. These reports are not produced for distribution, but are provided by the Registrar on a special request basis.
Series 5 Quality Point Averages, 1970-1996.
This series consists of a report titled "Quality Point Averages, Their Percentile Ranks, and Other Statistics for Seniors Who Were Graduated" (July 1 through June 30).
Series 6 Summary of Degrees Granted, 1887-ongoing.
This series consists of a report titled "Summary of Degrees Granted" (July 1 through June 30). These reports show degrees granted by academic unit; by race, sex, and citizenship; and other statistical breakdowns.
Series 7 Retention Studies, 1960-1991.
This series consists of studies of the retention and attrition rates of various freshmen classes.
Series 8 Diploma Matter, 1940-1962.
This series includes correspondence from academic units to the Office of the Registrar identifying degree candidates and their graduation dates.
Series 9 Registration, 1959-ongoing
This series includes correspondence and forms related to the registration process.
Series 10 Academic Honors Analysis, 1967-ongoing.
This series consists of a report titled "An Analysis of Honors Awarded" by divisions and professional schools (July 1 through June 30).
