Graduate Student Service Fee
In addition to tuition, Marquette charges fees that help to fund the costs of academic and non-academic services provided by the university. The Graduate School Student Service Fee is charged to traditional and online students each fall and spring. Certain registration categories and programs are exempt from some or all of these fees. Student Service Fee Allocations
The fees support experiential and developmental programming for graduate students which include orientation, career and employer engagement programming, research, student travel awards, technology and communication, wellness, workshops, professional development opportunities, and campus support partners.
Funds are directly dispersed to Marquette University campus partners who provide programs and services to students which include wellness and health promotion, recreation, and academic support.

- Mic Speakers Lab
- IT Services
- Food Pantry/Backpack Program
- Counseling Center
- Wellness & Rec Center
- Career Center

The Graduate School Student Service Fee is charged to traditional and online students each fall and spring. It supports student services, technology, and wellness and recreation.

Graduate Student Service Fee Scholarships
Graduate students who receive assistantships that are centrally funded by the Graduate School, and that are offered prior to the close of late registration, qualify for additional scholarships to pay their student service fees. Qualified students will be notified in their award letters if their award includes a fee scholarship. The Graduate School does not provide student service fee scholarships for assistantships that are funded by other departments or by faculty grants. Grant-funded assistants should contact their supervisors or grant principal investigators if they have questions.
