Marquette University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) service allows you to connect to resources restricted to the campus network while you are away from campus. The VPN is designed for faculty, staff, and students who need a secure, encrypted connection to university resources. You do not need to use VPN for Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), CheckMarq, D2L, or EmpCenter.

Connecting to Marquette VPN

To use the Marquette VPN:

• Make sure you have Microsoft Authenticator set up.
• Log in to FortiClient VPN and use Microsoft Authenticator to further verify your identity.

Restricted Resources Requiring VPN

With the Marquette University VPN, individuals may:

• Run engineering software such as Solidworks, LabVIEW, and AutoDesk
• Access faculty/staff financial and HR systems such as MyJob
• Author webpages with the Content Management System
