The Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) program provides training in technical skills needed by professional economists and analysts. The program emphasizes the application of advanced quantitative techniques to provide insights into specific business or policy challenges and allows students to specialize in various
areas of economics to align coursework to their academic and professional goals.
Applied Learning. The MSAE curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to design, develop, and interpret economic models that solve real problems confronting business and government. Students learn economic theory and quantitative techniques and apply their knowledge and technical skills within MSAE courses, the program’s comprehensive exam, and a culminating professional project. Flexibility. The MSAE may be completed within one calendar year, or through part-time enrollment in combination with work or other commitments. Courses are offered in the evenings. The MSAE core is offered on-campus. Courses within MSAE specializations may be offered on-campus or online.
