AIM: Developing Young Professionals for Dynamic Careers in Finance and Disruptive Technologies
Students choose AIM as a secondary major that upskills any business major offered in the College of Business Administration. Housed in the prominently located Baird AIM Laboratory in O’Brien Hall, the new home of Marquette Business, AIM offers a rigorous curriculum through a General AIM path as well as a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Investments Concentration or Fintech Concentration for those students who desire a deeper dive and more specialized skill set.
Outside the classroom, AIM students interact with industry experts through the weekly AIM Academy series, participate in campus events, and travel to top finance and fintech markets like New York and Chicago. Following their life-changing AIM experience, graduates become world-class ethical leaders who know how to recognize, value, and pitch real-world, market-disrupting opportunities.
AIM graduated its first class in 2006 under the leadership of founder and former director, Dr. David Krause. In the early years, the CFA Institute selected Marquette AIM as its first undergraduate university program partner. Marquette remains a partner in CFA's program that now numbers hundreds of university participants from around the globe.
Today's AIM program delivers a rigorous and elevated applied learning experience that prepares students to be curious problem solvers. Students master technical skills, grow as ethically-grounded leaders, and prepare to launch successful careers through exclusive opportunities like managing a portion of the university’s endowment, competing in prestigious global finance competitions, and networking with dedicated AIM alumni, now top industry executives in major markets around the country.
