Join the Warm Welcome Crew
Help welcome students to campus. Multiple opportunities are available, and much help is needed. Crew members will receive a t-shirt to wear to events (limited number available). Duties range from simply greeting, meeting, and chatting with students to helping with particular event tasks. Sign up for multiple posts.
When you sign-up, you get a T-shirt.
Shirts can be picked up at the Alumni Memorial Union Info Desk. Just give your name and say you're there to get your Warm Welcome Crew shirt. (Note that voluteers continue to sign-yp, so we may not have your name on the pick-up list, as we will only update that daily. You will still be able to get a shirt, evn if your name is not on the list at that moment.)
Volunteer Opportunities
Residence Hall Move-in (multiple dates)
Dates: 8/23*, 24, 25*, 26*, 27
Duties: help students and families unpack items from cars and take to their residence hall room.

Backyard Bash, Wed. 8/23, 8-11p.m., Westowne Square
Duties: Be a welcoming presence. Help with waiver signatures. Staff inflatable attractions.

New Student Convocation, Thursday, 8/24, Central Mall (event starts at 4 p.m.)
Duties: 150 people are needed to line exit points of Central Mall at the close of New Student Convocation to create a path lined with friendly faces, greeting/welcoming students and families as they exit convocation. Some volunteers will hand popsicles to people as well. Time commitment is 3:40-5:30 p.m. Volunteers will have a short training to apprise them of duties before the start of Convocation.

Volunteers needed for Check-in 2-3:30pm

Duties: check organizations in, direct them to their area/tables
Volunteers needed for Clean-up 6:45-7:30pm

Duties: remove items from table groups and have left behind and any rubbish that may not have made it to the bins.
