Yogita served as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for Chicago Public Schools from 1994 through 1996. Yogita has twenty-one years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Lake County, Illinois. Yogita joined Marquette Univeristy faculty as Clinical Practicum Coordinator, supervising graduate students at off-campus practicum sites in southeast Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois.
Yogita's clinical expertise lies in working with children, from birth through adolescence. Her experience culminates from work in early intervention, various medical and outpatient clinical settings, and a thriving private practice. Yogita performs evaluation and treatment for a range of speech-language disorders associated with autism spectrum disorder, neuromotor deficits, developmental delays, hearing loss, failure to thrive, learning differences, and cognitive impairments. She presents a diagnostic and treatment approach involving the "whole child", caregivers, pediatric specialists, and therapists across disciplines. Yogita's passion for pediatric feeding disorders has led to her current focus on the assessment and treatment of feeding issues in pre-term infants through school age children. Yogita enjoys guiding families through the process of improving their child's oral intake, nutrition, and feeding skills in complex cases.
In addition to clinical practice, Yogita provides bilingual English Hindi/Urdu speech-language consultations for Chicago area school districts. Yogita also draws upon her expertise in speech-language pathology to counsel parents in selecting child care and early childhood education programs.
