Speech Pathology and Audiology

 

Mary Kalhagen earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2008, and a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2009, both from Marquette University.

 

Mary has over 10 years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist in both medical and school settings. She began her career working in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation with a focus on evaluating and treating patients with aphasia, Parkinson’s Disease, and dementia. Most recently she has worked in public and charter schools with children in K-8th grade providing evaluation and treatment in the following areas: receptive/expressive language, articulation, phonology, fluency, and social language.

 

Mary has provided clinical supervision to graduate students in various off campus community outreach practicums since joining Marquette part time. Mary currently provides clinical instruction to graduate students in the Marquette University Speech and Hearing Clinic, focusing on those student clinicians in the Intensive Aphasia Program.
