Alyssa Sachs, PhD, CCC-SLP is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Arizona. She completed her doctoral and master's degrees in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Arizona. Her research interests include investigating the nature and treatment of acquired language disorders in adults, and her dissertation examined the relation between phonological skill and grammatical construction in sentence-level reading and writing in aphasia. She has also contributed to research projects centered on improving the efficacy of treatment for children with language delay and developmental language disorder. In addition to research and teaching, she works clinically in a local skilled nursing facility.
