A unique feature of Marquette University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program will be the addition of the specialty areas of interest. Graduates will complete the prescribed curriculum with the addition of advanced coursework and clinical practicum in a chosen area of practice.
The specialty tracks allow students to gain additional knowledge in a specific content area of their choice. Students can identify their interest in orthopedics, neurologic physical therapy, pediatrics, geriatrics, pelvic floor, acute care, sports performance, and pediatric sports medicine tracks as they complete advance elective courses, projects, and perhaps a clinical practicum in this chosen content area if available. Critical inquiry assignments, three evidence-based courses, and elective research projects can be directed towards their specialty area.
