Dr. Stoeckmann earned her Masters degree in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1999, and her Doctorate of Science degree in Neurologic Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2008.
Dr. Stoeckmann has been practicing as a physical therapist since 1988 and currently is a part time staff member of the Marquette Physical Therapy Clinic. Her clinical expertise is in neurological rehabilitation with a special focus on traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Stoeckmann partnered with the Zablocki VA to develop a Neurologic Residency Program for licensed physical therapists, which was officially credentialed by APTA in 2010 as the 8th neurologic residency in the country, and first residency program of any kind in the VA system. She teaches the Cognitive and Motor Learning course in Exercise Science program and Neurologic Rehabilitation course sequence in the DPT program.
Dr. Stoeckmann has served on the State Ethics Committee for the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association and has presented extensively on many neurology and ethics topics to a variety of audiences. Marquette’s Physical Therapy program has some of her recorded ethics presentations available for CEUs online.
