    Research Interests

    I am interested in philosophy of mind, especially how the practice of science might inform a naturalistic approach to subjective consciousness. This leads to a focus on under-developed areas of subjectivity, such as affective qualities and animal consciousness. As a naturalist who was “raised” phenomenologist, I like to think I bring a fresh set of eyes on problems, pushing the conversation into novel directions.
