Marquette Law School to host Milwaukee leadership for ‘On the Issues: New Leadership, New Milwaukee,’ March 21
March 16, 2023
MILWAUKEE — Four elected leaders from the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County who bring a generational change to the offices they hold will be special guests for a conversation in an “On the Issues” program, Tuesday, March 21, at 12:15 p.m. at Marquette Law School’s Eckstein Hall.
Derek Mosley, director of the Law School’s Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, will lead the conversation with County Executive David Crowley, Mayor Cavalier Johnson, County Board Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson, and Milwaukee Common Council President José Pérez. The guests will discuss their priorities, the array of possibilities and challenges the county and city face, and, most generally, the prospects for the region’s future.
The program is open to members of the public at no cost; registration is required and available online. Members of the media who are interested in attending should contact Kevin Conway, associate director of university communication, at kevin.m.conway@marquette.edu.
Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, Marquette Law School seeks to advance civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
