A complete news release and poll data, including toplines and slides, will be available shortly after 1 p.m. on the Marquette Law School Poll website.

The new Marquette Law School Poll survey of Wisconsin will look at preferences in the Republican and Democratic primaries in August in races for governor and the U.S. Senate, along with the public’s views of candidates and incumbent office holders.

The survey also looks at how concerned Wisconsin voters are over inflation, education, the COVID-19 pandemic, immigration and crime. Issue preferences on school spending, expansion of school vouchers and control of curriculum, among other issues, are included in the survey.

Approval ratings for President Joe Biden, Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin legislature will be updated, along with favorability ratings for Sen. Ron Johnson, Sen. Tammy Baldwin, former President Donald Trump and State Rep. Robin Vos, as well as for Biden and Evers.

Other survey items include confidence in past election results and opinion on the ongoing investigation of the 2020 election.

The Marquette Law School Poll is the most extensive statewide polling project in Wisconsin history. Franklin has directed the poll since its inception in 2012 and is a professor of law and public policy at Marquette Law School. Franklin co-founded pollster.com, an award-winning site for nonpartisan polling analysis.

Borsuk has been the Law School’s senior fellow in law and public policy since 2009, following more than three decades at the Milwaukee Journal and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a reporter, columnist, and editor; he continues to write a weekly column on education issues for the Journal Sentinel. This survey and video conversation about the results are part of Marquette Law School’s commitment to serve as a modern-day public square for the city of Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin, and beyond.
