Advisory: Marquette faculty experts available for Easter stories

Joan of Arc Chapel in the SpringMILWAUKEE — With Holy Week upon us and Easter Sunday on April 3, Marquette University has faculty experts and resources available for media stories.

Holy Week

Rev. Ryan Duns, S.J., assistant professor of systematic theology, is available to discuss the meaning of Easter, the Resurrection and Christian hope in a broken world. He can be reached at ryan.duns@marquette.edu.

Earlier this week, Rev. Jim Voiss, S.J., vice president of mission and ministry, reflected on the season of Lent as a time for conversion of the heart to grow closer to God.

Marquette will host Mass on campus each day, Thursday through Sunday, with at least one virtual Mass streaming each day.

Retail

Dr. Felicia Miller, chair and associate professor of marketing, is available to discuss traditional retail patterns and marketing around the Easter holiday, as well as anticipated differences due to the coronavirus. Miller is available for interviews over Skype or the phone and can be reached at felicia.miller@marquette.edu.

Easter candy

Dr. Brian Hodgson, associate professor of dentistry, is an expert in pediatric dentistry and can discuss the impact Easter candy has on children’s teeth and the worst Easter candy for teeth. He is available for interviews over Skype or the phone and can be reached at brian.hodgson@marquette.edu.
