United Way president to go ‘On the Issues,’ Dec. 2
Dec. 1, 2020
MILWAUKEE — Amy Lindner, president and CEO of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, will be the featured guest during an upcoming virtual “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Wednesday, Dec. 2.
The video will be available at 12:15 p.m. on the Marquette University Law School website.
Even in normal times, thousands of residents of metropolitan Milwaukee face serious challenges: health concerns, educational roadblocks, and financial struggles. Gousha and Lindner will discuss how the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County is addressing these pressing issues during the pandemic and how the community is faring during this difficult year.
Lindner is a Waukesha native and became president of the four-county United Way chapter in 2018. Previously, she was president and CEO of Meta House, a Milwaukee nonprofit that helps women with addiction issues. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and a former partner at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren in Milwaukee
The virtual “On the Issues” is available to members of the general public.
Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, debates featuring candidates in significant political races, Gousha’s “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on significant issues of public importance and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, the Law School serves as the region’s leading venue for serious civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
