Media advisory: Marquette University to host prayer service honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

MILWAUKEE — Marquette University will hold a prayer service commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the Chapel of the Holy Family in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.
The morning prayer service will honor the life of King. Members of the Marquette community will read from King’s works, and works from others, highlighting King’s legacy as a human rights advocate. The program will include time for reflection through prayer and song.
Admission is free, but online registration is encouraged.
The event is sponsored by Raynor Memorial Libraries, the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Ministry, the Center for Peacemaking and the English Department.
