Media advisory: Marquette University to host Ash Wednesday services

ash wednesday stock photoMILWAUKEE — In honor of Ash Wednesday, Marquette University is hosting the following services Wednesday, Feb. 26:

Noon

Mass with Imposition of Ashes at the Chapel of the Holy Family in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.

 

 

3 p.m.

Ecumenical Service with the Imposition of Ashes at the Chapel of the Holy Family.

9 p.m.

Mass with Imposition of Ashes at the Church of the Gesu, 1145 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and is one of the most popular and important holy days in the liturgical calendar. The Ash Wednesday events at Marquette are sponsored by Campus Ministry.
