PHOTO/VIDEO OP: Marquette faculty and staff hosting 300 students for Thanksgiving meal

MILWAUKEE — Marquette University faculty and staff on Thursday, Nov. 22, at 11:30 a.m. will serve a Thanksgiving meal to approximately 300 students who are unable to travel home for the holiday, as well as underserved community members. Many of the expected attendees are international students.
The dinner is provided in memory of Rev. William McEvoy, S.J., who first provided this annual dinner for students during the 1950s in the basement of the building that formerly housed the Marquette Dental School. Thanksgiving dinner will be served in the Cobeen Hall dining room, 729 N. 11th Street, and is sponsored by Campus Ministry with the assistance of the Office of Residence Life and Sodexo Food Service. Food preparation will begin at 11 a.m., and the meal will begin at 11:30 a.m.
