Media advisory: Marquette, Sendik's set ribbon-cutting for new on-campus store

MILWAUKEE — The new Sendik's Fresh2GO Marquette store will officially open on the university's campus Tuesday, Aug. 22, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. The grocery store, which Marquette President Michael R. Lovell announced in June, is located on 16th Street, just north of West Wells Street.
Lovell will join Sendik's family co-owner Ted Balistreri and civic leaders, including Mayor Tom Barrett and Alderman Bob Bauman, as well as other senior leaders from Marquette and Sendik's for a brief presentation followed by interview and photo/video opportunities.
Media parking will be available in Lot A, located on the south side of Wells Street, just east of 16th Street.
