Welcome from Dr. Daniel Zitomer
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering!
The department was established at Marquette University in 1908. The department has maintained an ABET-EAC accredited degree program in civil engineering since 1936 (the first year ABET accredited degree programs). The program includes thrust areas of construction, environmental, structural, transportation and water resources engineering. We also offer a separate degree program in construction engineering.
I hope you will explore our website to learn more about the great work going on in our department. We have top-notch faculty and students who are leading groundbreaking research in their fields. Our students are not only receiving outstanding technical training in the classroom, but they're already out making an impact through research, co-ops, internships and service work, like our popular Engineers Without Borders chapter.
Please feel free to contact me at daniel.zitomer@marquette.edu if you have questions or comments.
Best wishes,
