Becoming a Student Manager
The Student Managers are responsible for hiring, training, and motivating the student employees to ensure the AMU facilities and services run efficiently, with great customer service, and with a whole lot of F-U-N.
The Student Managers attend weekly meetings and support efforts of the AMU Student Employment Program. They work with their supervisor(s) to lead their area under the AMU and they are the link between the AMU full-time, professional staff and the student employees. Overall, Student Managers act as an extension of the professional staff and are positive ambassadors of their department, the Alumni Memorial Union, and Marquette University.
Student Managers will develop skills that are useful in any career or profession. They will learn transferable leadership, management, and problem-solving skills. It also provides the ability to create valuable networking opportunities with professionals.
