Program Overview

Air Force ROTC is divided into two courses of study - General Military Course (Freshman/Sophomores) and Professional Officer Course (Juniors/Seniors), with a 2-week summer Field Training leadership experience between your GMC and POC years. Leadership development is emphasized throughout the program. Additional, off-site training opportunities are also available.

NoteIt is possible to complete an accelerated version of the ROTC program if you did not begin as a first-year student, but you must be in the program for at least three years unless you are pursuing a law degree.

General Military Course

The first and second-year educational program in Air Force Aerospace Studies consists of a series of one-hour courses designed to give students basic information on the role of the U.S. Air Force in the defense of the free world. All required textbooks and uniforms are provided free.
