Dr. Francis Halzen to present the Coyne Lecture!


Dr. Halzen is a professor of physics at UW-Madison, and a Principal Investigator for IceCube.

His talk is entitled, "Ice Fishing for Neutrinos: The IceCube Project."

The Coyne Lecture will be held in the Weasler Auditorium on Thursday, October 1st at 4pm.


The Physics Department Welcomes Dr. Karen Andeen!

Karen joins the department from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Institute of Particle Physics based at Cern, Geneva, Switzerland.

She is an Illinois native, and received her Ph.D. in Experimental Astroparticle Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.




















Congratulations to Dr. Zbigniew Sorbjan on his NSF-awarded grant "Toward an Improved Understanding and Parameterization of the Stable Atomospheric Boundary Layer" and Dr. Brian Bennett and Dr. Rick Holz for their NSF-awarded grant "MRI: Upgrade of an EPR Spectrometer to Serve Marquette University and the Greater Milwaukee Region"
