Programming Assistant

The primary responsibility for the programming assistant position is to assist Center for Peacemaking staff with peace studies recruitment and planning and implementing events and programs. This role requires someone who has strong people skills, is creative and works well individually.

Communications Assistant

The primary responsibility for the communications assistant position is to assist Center for Peacemaking staff with developing internal and external communications. Specifically, we are looking for individuals with strong writing skills. Students with strong design, photography, and video skills will also be considered.

Research Assistant PARC

This position is to assist Center for Peacemaking staff and/or faculty with the Promoting Assets Reducing Crime (PARC) peacemaking-related research. PARC is designed to support Near West Side Partners' mission to revitalize and sustain the Near West Side as a thriving business and residential corridor, through collaborative efforts to promote economic development, improved housing, unified neighborhood identity and branding, and greater safety for residents and businesses. This is a great opportunity for students considering graduate school.

Peace Works Research Assistant

This position is to assist Center for Peacemaking staff and/or faculty grant recipients with their peacemaking-related research. The subject area of each research project is determined by the project’s lead researcher. The research topic and expectations will be made clear prior to the start of the project. This role is only open to graduate students.

Nonviolence Educator

This is a unique community service internship opportunity. The nonviolence educator's primary responsibility is to assist in educating local youth on nonviolence, conflict resolution, and communication skills by leading interactive sessions using the Center for Peacemaking's Peace Works curriculum.
