Watch the prayer vigil held at Church of the Gesu
A prayer vigil to remember alumnus and journalist James Foley, Arts '96, was held at Church of the Gesu in Milwaukee on Aug. 26, 2014. Those who were unable to join the prayer vigil are encouraged to pray A Prayer for Journalists. Rev. Frederick Zagone, S.J., chaplain of the Marquette University Alumni Association, also offered this prayer for James.
Friends and colleagues of James are honoring his life through memories and a memorial scholarship fund in his name. The James Foley Scholarship Fund will demonstrate to the next generations the values he stood for. On Twitter, the #RememberingJim campaign seeks to keep his spirit alive through pictures, videos, stories and quotes.
