Welcome to the Zeta of Wisconsin Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Marquette University. Founded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest, most respected and most selective academic honor society in the United States. Students are elected from the highest ranks of their classes on the basis of scholarly excellence in liberal arts and sciences.

Phi Beta Kappa members include:

Why accept an invitation from Phi Beta Kappa?
Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is lifelong and granted to outstanding liberal arts and sciences undergraduates from 290 top schools across the nation. The organization equips members with information and tools to thoughtfully engage in American society as leaders, volunteers and citizens.

Only about one percent of the nation's students are elected as members each year. The Phi Beta Kappa key is the distinctive insignia of this honor.

In addition to granting membership to the top juniors and seniors in liberal studies each year, Phi Beta Kappa has a rich presence among its resident members, who are faculty and staff from a range of colleges and departments at Marquette.
