Getting vaccinated

Marquette continues to strongly recommend that all students, faculty and staff get vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination decreases severity of illness and hospitalizations for those infected.

What to do if you feel sick

The university advises anyone, regardless of vaccination status, who experiences symptoms of COVID-19 to stay home and get tested.

The Marquette Medical Clinic provides testing for symptomatic students. Call (414) 288-7184 to make an appointment. Learn more about what to do if you test positive for COVID-19.

What to do if you test positive

In accordance with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Marquette University no longer requires a five-day isolation period for students, faculty or staff who test positive for COVID-19.

Individuals who test positive or have symptoms of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses should stay home and away from others until symptoms are improving and no fever is present for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. The university does not provide isolation space. Learn more about what to do if you test positive.

Once returning to normal activities, it is advised to continue taking additional precautions for the next five days to decrease the spread of illness.
