The Urban Scholars Program
In 2006 under the leadership of Father Robert A. Wild, Marquette University introduced the Urban Scholars program and brought the first cohort to campus in the fall of 2007. The Urban Scholars program offers up to 45 annual, full-tuition renewable scholarships to high-achieving students with a history of leadership and service. We focus on high school seniors from the Milwaukee area and reserve preference for first-generation and/or low-income applicants but are not limited to these parameters. Rooted in Marquette's tradition of increasing access to higher education, the scholarship program continues our emphasis on being inclusive and modeling a more diverse community.
