2016 Haggerty Award for Research Excellence Recipient
Professor of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology
Dr. Fox has been a faculty member at Marquette for 33 years and is a nationally recognized leader in treatments for early childhood mental health problems. He founded the Behavior Clinic in 2003 in partnership with Penfield, and it serves over 400 children and their families each year. He also developed the Early Pathways program, which has been used as a model for treating children growing up in poverty and experiencing difficult mental health issues.
Commenting on the award, Dean Bill Henk noted, "Given Dr. Fox's extensive record of scholarship and success in attracting external funding, it is extremely fitting that he receive the University's most prestigious research recognition. He is a rare faculty member, one who not only excels as a scholar, but also as a teacher and as an unselfish provider of service to the institution and the community."
The College of Education salutes Dr. Fox and thanks him for enriching our scholarly reputation.
