Program Outcomes

Trinity Fellows Program Outcomes 

During the Spring of 2021, Trinity Fellows hired Ubuntu Research + Evaluation to consult on our first external Program Outcomes Assessment. Major program themes with specific outcomes were identified through analysis of focus groups and triangulation data from surveys conducted with alumni and current Fellows. Below you will find the four major themes with 2-3 targeted program outcomes.

DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF SELF AND LEADERSHIP  

Fellows and Alumni demonstrate a conscious understanding of how they show up, or how they desire to show up, in the social and economic justice work.  

As a result of completing the Trinity Fellows program, Fellows: 

  • Learn about self, their role, and responsibility in society and can articulate how the program played a positive role in their professional journey 
  • Are more self-aware and reflective  
  • Develop confidence and willingness to act as a leader, and understand different models/approaches to leadership 

OCCURRENCES OF BUILDING COMMUNITY  

Fellows and Alumni understand the value of community connectedness and found and built community while in the Program.  

As a result of completing the Trinity Fellows program, Fellows: 

  • Are connected to cohort and build lasting connections to professional and alumni networks 
  • Value and can articulate the value of interacting and learning from those with different lived experiences  
  • Actively reflect on their place/role in one or more social-ecological contexts1 

RAISED SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND AWARENESS  

Fellows and Alumni understand social-ecological contexts and the relationships between them. This, and their own reflective journeys, demonstrates their raised social consciousness and awareness.  

As a result of completing the Trinity Fellows program, Fellows: 

  • Can explain and apply systems level thinking to social justice issues, Identify the interconnectedness and importance of changes being made at individual, community, and structural levels 
  • Use the historical and cultural context of Milwaukee to approach situations effectively in the spaces they are part of 

CAPACITY DEVELOPED AND EMBODIED  

Fellows fulfill organizational capacity needs, and alumni and Fellows develop their capacity in various ways (e.g. coursework, agency placement, and cohort dialogue).  

As a result of completing the Trinity Fellows program, Fellows: 

  • Can advocate for themselves and use strategies to successfully resolve conflict in professional work environments 
  • Learn and apply new, existing, and developed skills and tools to serve needs of their organizations 
  • Develop research interests that align with placements
