  • Renewing your Passport

A valid, unexpired passport is required for international travel. Students who do not have a passport are highly encouraged to apply immediately. Check out the video tutorial below for additional information and review the Apply for your First Passport as an Adult (state.gov) website. Be aware that some programs may require a copy of your valid, unexpired passport to be considered eligible for review.

It is recommended that your passport's expiration date be at least 6 months (1 year for Spain) beyond the end date of your study abroad program. If the expiration date does not meet the recommended minimum stated, it is strongly encouraged that you renew your passport immediately. Check out the video tutorial below for additional information and review the Renew my Passport by Mail (state.gov) website.
