Sidney Taylor, PA-C, MPAS: Postgraduate Fellow

Sidney Taylor

Sidney, originally from Arkansas, attended Harding University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and Spanish. She was a Trustee Scholar and graduated from the Honors College as Honors with Distinction. During college she completed a medical internship at Predisan Health Ministries in Catacamas, Honduras where she focused on diet and diabetes care.

After college, she worked for a year as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care clinic. Afterwards, she moved to the Chicagoland area and graduated from Midwestern University where she received her PA degree. In PA school Sidney completed her emergency medicine rotation at James A. Lovell Veterans Affairs in North Chicago. It was on this rotation that her love for emergency medicine began to grow. She also completed her elective rotations in neurosurgery at Good Samaritan Hospital and orthopedics at DuPage Medical Group Musculoskeletal Institute to help supplement her emergency medicine knowledge. Her capstone project in PA school was on treating Opioid Use Disorder with Medication Assisted Therapy. She is excited to start the PA fellowship because it will provide her with the knowledge and confidence that she needs to serve her patients with excellent, compassionate care.
