Sometimes Things Happen is a lyrical picture book written and illustrated by Paige Stoeffler, Arts & Sciences '23. The story is narrated by Jordan, who guides young readers through the process of coping with emotions that result when things don't go their way or when events are out of their control, including sexual assault and domestic violence.

This project was developed in collaboration with the Center for Peacemaking, child psychologists, sexual assault prevention experts, survivor and victim advocates, and Marquette students.
