History: Church of the Assumption, Bellingham/ Sehome, Whatcom County, Washington, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Archdiocese of Seattle (Archives: Seattle, Washington). Seattle/ Nesqually diocesan priests at Assumption attended to the following Native American missions:

1891-1903 (transferred to St. Mary’s, Marysville)	St. Ambrose Mission (Clallam), Port Gamble
1891-1903 (transferred to St. Joseph’s, Ferndale)	St. Joachim Mission (Lummi), Bellingham, Lummi Reservation
1892 (transferred to St. Ann's, Tulalip)	St. Paul Mission (Swinomish), Swinomish Reservation
