History: Holy Name of Mary Parish, Harbor Beach, -- County, Michigan, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Saginaw (Archives: Saginaw, Michigan). Holy Name of Mary was formed by clustering two neighboring parishes administered by Saginaw diocesan priests. One of the churches was Our Lady of Lake Huron Church, Harbor Beach, a predominantly non-Native American church that has had a few Native American parishioners (e.g. Ojibwa, Ottawa), 1980s-present.
