History: Mother Theresa (Genevieve) Hackelmeier of Vienna, Austria, founded the Sisters of St. Francis in Oldenburg, Indiana, 1851, who have self-identified with the post-nominal initials, “O.S.F.” The sisters have taught Native American children at the following schools in Montana and Arizona or New Mexico.
