History: The Sisters of St. Mary of Namur have self-identified with the post-nominal initials, “S.S.M.N.” They came from Namur, Belgium, and made their first U.S. foundation in Lockport, New York, 1863. The sisters have served Holy Family Church (Tuscarora), Tuscarora Reservation, Sanborn/ Lewiston, 1980s-present.
