Elizabeth Whitcomb Houghton Collection, 1897-1939
Letters and manuscripts collected by a bibliophile from Nashotah, Wisconsin (d. 1950). The 30 American and English authors represented include Lascelles Abercrombie, Rupert Brooke, Walter De La Mare, Wilfrid Wilson Gibson, A.E. Housman, Joyce Kilmer, T.E. Lawrence, Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Siegfried Sassoon. Many of the letters were written to John Drinkwater.
