Lynn Griffith, Comm ’09, Grad ’15, is Marquette University’s chief marketing and communication officer. She leads Marquette’s marketing and communication functions within the Office of University Relations, which include strategy and planning, media relations, internal and presidential communication, social media, issues and crisis management, advertising, digital, design, editorial and brand management. Under Griffith’s leadership, Marquette’s talented marketing and communication team has been recognized for excellence, winning four National Collegiate Advertising awards and two Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, as well as being named a Ragan's PR Daily finalist. Marquette has been ranked in the top 20 nationally for higher education social media engagement for the last four years, according to Rival IQ’s 2024 Higher Education Social Media Engagement Report.
Griffith previously served as assistant vice president of university communication within the Office of University Relations at Marquette. She also worked in the university’s Office of Marketing and Communication, managing internal and executive communication. Prior to joining Marquette, Griffith was a vice president at Chicago-based Reputation Partners Communications, where she helped start the firm’s Milwaukee office.
Griffith is a member of TEMPO Milwaukee and the Page Society and serves on the marketing committee of Visit Milwaukee. She is a mentor in the award-winning Marquette Mentors program and serves as the adviser to Marquette’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Griffith formerly served on the board of the Public Relations Society of America of Southeastern Wisconsin and as a founding board member of Impact100 Greater Milwaukee, a women’s collective philanthropy organization. She was selected as a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities’ Ignatian Colleagues Program and is actively involved in the AJCU Marketing Leaders Group.
Griffith earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University, graduating summa cum laude. She also earned her MBA from Marquette University. Griffith, her husband, Brendan, and their two children are members of St. Robert Parish in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
