Tim M. Bergstrom, Bus Ad ’99, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2016.
He is the president and chief executive officer of Bergstrom Automotive, headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin. His responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight of all operations.
Bergstrom Automotive is one of the top 50 largest automotive groups in the United States, with sales in excess of $1.8 billion, and employs more than 2,300 people throughout Wisconsin. The company owns and operates 39 automotive locations, representing all major brands sold in the United States. Bergstrom Automotive is the only U.S. company that has been awarded franchises by all volume automotive manufacturers.
Bergstrom Automotive has been recognized annually since 2015 as one of the “Top 5 Automotive Companies to Work For” in the country. The company prides itself on guest service.
Tim is a cum laude graduate of Marquette University’s College of Business Administration. He also has a Master of Science degree in management, strategy and leadership from Michigan State University and is a graduate of the National Automotive Dealers Association Dealer Academy and Leadership Program. Before becoming president, he spent more than 15 years in management and professional positions in service, parts, body shop and automotive sales operations.
Tim is a board member of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, Secura Insurance Company (Executive Committee) and Arien’s Company and a member of the United Way Fox Cities Leadership Giving Committee and CEOs Against Cancer. He is also an emeritus board member of the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center–Neenah Foundation.
Tim and his wife, Natalie, Bus Ad ’99, have three children and reside in Neenah. He is a member of the Marquette University President’s Society.
