ABOUT: Sigma Iota Rho, the National Honor Society of International Affairs, invites all Marquette students to join in a virtual Q&A with a handful of our own alumni who have successfully pursued careers in international affairs. Referencing questions contributed by other INIA students, SIR officers will moderate the panel and open the floor to questions towards the end of the panel. The panelists’ current work in international affairs varies widely. These four panelists have wide ranging experiences; some having graduated 2 years ago and others having graduated 20 years ago; some with masters degrees and some without. Eventbrite tickets are free. Note that this event is closed to the public.

ABOUT: Student Officers of Sigma Iota Rho moderated the second of two panels; referencing questions collated by current INIA students. Two of the four alumni earned their master’s degrees in International Affairs from Marquette and the other two alumni earned their bachelor’s degrees in INIA from Marquette. The panelists’ current work in international affairs varies widely. These four panelists have wide ranging experiences; some having graduated 2 years ago and others having graduated 20 years ago. - Hannah Polipnick, B.A. ’14 (INIA) – taught English in South Korea, Peace Corps Volunteer in Kosovo, private sector consultant
- Mashal Amjad, M.A. ‘15 (International Affairs) – currently working in international economic development and digital communications
- Sam Dawson, B.A. ’16 (INIA) – currently working in global philanthropy, citizen diplomacy, and rural development
- Manuel Lleras, M.A. ’16 (International Affairs) – paralegal for immigrants and victims of human trafficking
